How to add an animation: Open a presentation in Google Slides. Click the text or image you want to animate. Then click Insert > Animation. Click on Select an object to animate, scroll down and choose the animation you want to use.Jul 18, 2019
You can add an animation to grouped objects, text, and more. Press Ctrl and select the objects you want. Select Format > Group > Group to group the objects together. Select Animations and choose an animation.
Unlike earlier, animated GIFs play smoothly in Google Docs and Slides.
From the format options panel on the right of your screen, click on “Video playback” and select “Play (automatically)”. That’s all you have to do. Now whenever you open this slide in the “Present” mode, the video will start playing automatically.
Open your Google Slides theme. If you want to insert a GIF or change a default one, you can do so. Go to the left corner and, in the toolbar, click on Insert, select Image → Upload from computer. Choose the GIF you’d like to embed and click Open.
Unfortunately, Google Slides doesn’t have an option to add a motion path animation on the slides directly. However, motion path animation can be recreated by using duplicating the slides and changing the position of the object slightly on each slide.
Animate Together
You can have multiple things you want to appear at the same time, such as an image and text. Select all of the items together and click “Add animation” in the Animations panel. You can multiple select by holding down the shift key and clicking on the items on the slide.
Click the text or image you want to animate. Then click Insert > Animation. Click on Select an object to animate, scroll down and choose the animation you want to use. Then on the scroll underneath select whether you want your object to animate On click, After previous or With previous.
Click on the object that you’ve set up as your “Tap to Reveal.” In my example, I clicked on the balloon. Add a link to this object by clicking the Insert Link button on the toolbar or using the keyboard shortcut ctrl + K. Click the drop-down to select the slide that reveals the answer.
With the presentation view up, move your mouse to the bottom-left corner of the presentation screen to show the toolbar. On the toolbar, click the three-dot menu and expand the Auto-play item. Then on this menu, click the Loop option at the bottom to enable presentation looping.
You can leverage the Insert > Image file menu or drag and drop the file into the Google Doc. The gif file should function immediately.
You need to insert the image using the URL; otherwise, the animations won’t work. Click on the Insert tab on the toolbar, then select Image. Here, you will get an option By URL. Paste the URL then press the Insert option in the dialog box.
Open the presentation in Google Slides and go to the slide to which you want to add music. Select Insert > Audio. Go to the My Drive tab and find the audio file you want to add. Double-click the file or highlight it and choose Select.
You can also define the path by drawing it directly on the slide. Click Shape, choose Draw With Pen, and draw the complete path. Next, select the object and the path shape, and choose Format > Shapes and Lines > Make Motion Path from Shape.
