The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is a country located in Central Africa with a short Atlantic Ocean coastline. Neighboring countries include Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
The Democratic Republic of Congo is widely considered to be the richest country in the world regarding natural resources; its untapped deposits of raw minerals are estimated to be worth in excess of U.S. $24 trillion.

Culture is most evident in the well-preserved tribal and ethnic traditions of the Congolese, as well as in the music they play, infused with French, Arab and African roots. The people follow a variety of religious beliefs, but a majority of the population is either Catholic or Protestant.

A visa is required for all types of travel to the DRC, and the visa must be obtained in advance of arrival. The government of the DRC now requires that all visa applications be accompanied by an invitation letter that is notarized in the DRC and bears the stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kinshasa.

Actually, the purest French is spoken by all middle-to-upper classes anywhere in the central an northern part of the country — Orléans, Cherbourg, Bourges, Nancy, Rennes, Amiens, Dijon, Rouen or Tours… absolutely no difference whatsoever.
